We hope that you've enjoyed the waterfront trail as much as we have during 2016, the Trail's first full year of use. With the recent opening of the Black Diamond Trail, we have a remarkable Cayuga Lake greenway network taking shape.

This year, we have learned a lot about this amazing new place we have created together. Many of you have shared what you like about the Trail and what you think can be improved. In 2017, we are committed to strengthening our partnership with the City and other communite partners to ensure the Trail better serves residents and visitors to our community. We are now asking for your continued support to help us do our part to maintain and make needed enhancements to the trail corridor, while promoting the benefits of this wonderful new trail network.

Thank you for supporting CWTI and see you on the trail in 2017!

The 5.5 mile Cayuga Waterfront Trail is now complete! The last section, linking Cass Park to the Farmers Market was completed in 2015. Visitors to Ithaca's Waterfront will find playgrounds, picnicking, boating, summer theater, birding, and gardens along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail, a great multi-use path for walking, biking, running, skating, and strolling. There are also quiet places to relax and take in the views. Look for ducks, dragon boats, and sailors on the water; baseball, soccer, or hockey in the popular parks; and two venerable academic institutions on the surrounding hills.

"As I think of some of the greatest cities I have visited in my life, they all have one thing in common, beautiful waterfront trails and access to water. Ithaca is no exception."
- Laurie Linn, Trail User
