Who is Involved?

The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce has taken a leadership role in promoting the development of the Cayuga Waterfront Trail. They have successfully gathered the enthusiastic support of the local business community.

The City of Ithaca is the owner of the trail. Mayor Svante Myrick, former Mayors Carolyn Peterson and Alan Cohen, the Common Council, and the Department of Planning and Development have been steadfast in their support of the project. The City's Department of Public Works constructed the Cass Park section of the trail in 2003 and oversaw the construction of the Farmers Market to Stewart Park connector in 2010.

Thank you to the following dedicated people who have generously supported the Cayuga Waterfront Trail Initiative with their time and enthusiasm.
