The Cayuga Waterfront Trail at Cass ParkThe first section of the Cayuga Waterfront Trail was completed in 2003 and winds in a two-mile loop in Cass Park, along the southwestern shore of beautiful Cayuga Lake. It has already become Ithaca's most popular urban multi-use trail, and enhanced the quality of life in Tompkins County.

The second section of the trail was completed in 2010 and connects the Farmers Market at Steamboat Landing to the Visitors Center via Stewart Park and the Fuertes Bird Sanctuary.

The third trail section was completed in 2015. This section connects the gap between the Farmers Market and Cass Park.  Connections from the schools, adjacent neighborhoods and the downtown to the Waterfront have also been improved at both Dey and Third Streets.
